Beginner Subreddit Selection
How to Find the Right Subreddits (Fast)
A simple method to pick communities that match your content style—so you post less, get removed less, and learn faster.
TL;DR: Search smart → check rules + top posts → confirm allowed formats → start by commenting → post only when you match the vibe.
Step 1: Search Like This
- Use: topic + “beginner”, topic + “help”, topic + “questions”
- Try synonyms (e.g., “fitness” → “gym”, “training”, “lifting”)
- Open 10 candidates. Keep only the best 3–5.
Step 2: Run the 30-Second Check
- Read the rules + pinned posts.
- Look at top posts (last month).
- Confirm allowed formats (text/link/image).
- Check if flair is required.
Rule of thumb: if you can’t describe the subreddit’s “winning post format” in one sentence, don’t post yet—observe and comment first.
