Posting & Rules Pre-Post Checklist
Posting Rules & Flair: The Pre-Post Checklist (Reddit Guide)
Most removals are preventable. Use this checklist to match subreddit rules, flair, and formats—before you hit Post.
TL;DR: Read rules → pick the right flair → use the allowed format → write a clean title → be ready to reply.
Where to Find the Rules
- About / Sidebar rules
- Pinned posts (“Read before posting”)
- Wiki / FAQ (templates, restrictions)

Flair & Format (The Usual Trap)
- Is flair required? If yes, wrong flair = removal.
- Are links allowed or text-only?
- Are images/videos allowed?
- Is there a title format rule?
Write better titles: Title & opening lines guide.
Golden rule: if the subreddit provides a template, follow it exactly. Templates beat “good writing.”

- I read the rules + pinned posts.
- I chose the correct flair (or confirmed it’s optional).
- My post format is allowed (text/link/image).

- I’m adding real value (info, story, question, resource).
- I’m not using URL shorteners or suspicious links.
- I checked clarity (spelling + structure).
- I’m ready to respond to comments.
