Posting & Rules Crossposting

Crossposting & Reposting on Reddit: The Safe Rules (Beginner-Friendly)

Crossposting can work, but it’s also a fast way to trigger removals if you do it too aggressively or in the wrong communities.

TL;DR: Don’t blast the same content → match each subreddit → wait between posts → avoid identical copy/paste.

Important: crossposting + new accounts = higher filter risk. Prevention: Avoid Reddit Filters.

Crosspost vs Repost

  • Crosspost: sharing an existing Reddit post into another subreddit.
  • Repost: posting the same content again as a new post.
  • Both can be restricted by rules.

Safe Crossposting Rules

  1. Only crosspost where it clearly fits the topic.
  2. Change the title to match the new subreddit’s style (if allowed).
  3. Wait between posts (avoid “spam bursts”).
  4. Engage in comments (don’t disappear).

When It Usually Gets Removed

  • Same content posted to many subreddits in minutes
  • Wrong flair or missing required template
  • Duplicate content already posted recently
  • Self-promo vibes (especially with external links)

If removed/invisible: Troubleshooting. Checklist: Posting Rules & Flair.
