Posting & Rules Crossposting
Crossposting & Reposting on Reddit: The Safe Rules (Beginner-Friendly)
Crossposting can work, but it’s also a fast way to trigger removals if you do it too aggressively or in the wrong communities.
TL;DR: Don’t blast the same content → match each subreddit → wait between posts → avoid identical copy/paste.
Important: crossposting + new accounts = higher filter risk.
Prevention: Avoid Reddit Filters.
Crosspost vs Repost
- Crosspost: sharing an existing Reddit post into another subreddit.
- Repost: posting the same content again as a new post.
- Both can be restricted by rules.
Safe Crossposting Rules
- Only crosspost where it clearly fits the topic.
- Change the title to match the new subreddit’s style (if allowed).
- Wait between posts (avoid “spam bursts”).
- Engage in comments (don’t disappear).
When It Usually Gets Removed
- Same content posted to many subreddits in minutes
- Wrong flair or missing required template
- Duplicate content already posted recently
- Self-promo vibes (especially with external links)
If removed/invisible: Troubleshooting. Checklist: Posting Rules & Flair.
